  • The Fees

    •  Full payment is required prior to the start of each session; individual therapy or support groups. Payment looks like an e-transfer or online payment via debit or credit card on the website. Your receipts will be provided at the end of each session.

      • Clients should check with their insurance/benefits providers to confirm if they accept Social Workers. Pay for your session and claim with them afterward.

        • I reserve a limited amount of sliding scale (lower prices) spots for students and others with limited income. TBP Services is here to help, please indicate this need during our consult.

Please contact us with any additional questions that you might have. Looking forward to hearing from you!

  • WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL?
All cancellations must be done 24 - 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. You will be charged for the full rate of the session missed.
  • ARE YOUR SERVICES CONFIDENTIAL?
Confidentiality is very important to TBP Services. It is important that you feel comfortable talking openly and honestly in our sessions knowing that all information discussed will be kept private. My professional code of ethics, under the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), clearly defines that all information you share with your counsellor is confidential and will not be communicated, directly or indirectly, to anyone without your informed and written consent. The law states that there are rare exceptions to this rule, which we will discuss during our initial consultation. Although our counselling sessions will be kept confidential, we do not object to you revealing anything that we have discussed in therapy to anyone you want.
  • ARE YOUR FEES COVERED BY OHIP?
While Psychotherapy and Social Work are regulated health professions in Ontario, they are not covered under OHIP. Majority of extended health benefits/employer benefits, do cover psychotherapy and social work services (typically in your health and dental insurance package). I encourage you to speak with your insurance provider about counselling services provided by a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist to determine your eligibility and approved rates of coverage. As of 2012 Psychotherapy services provided by Registered Social Workers are now recognized as an income tax deductible medical expense by Revenue Canada. Please note, you should check with your insurance/benefits providers to check if they accept Social Workers. Pay for your session and claim afterward.
  • WHAT HAPPENS IN THE FIRST FEW SESSIONS?
During our initial sessions, we will: * Discuss your current situation and challenges. * Explore what changes you would like to accomplish and your expectations of how we can work together to achieve these changes. * Whether you are seeking long-term counselling or a single session consultation. We welcome you to contact TBP Services with any questions you may have.
